I cannot tell what causes this, and it only seems to happen once a week. I’ll be surfing the web, with a few Chrome tabs open and maybe even music playing, when Windows 10 will just freeze and give me an error message, usually when this happens my computer will recover itself and reboot automatically. Let’s just say I have 3 sticks of RAM, that’s 8GB x 2 and 16GB x 1 and totaling 32 GB’s, but because the RAM is not all in pairs maybe that’s what’s causing Windows to freeze?.
As this problem only happens once a week, or maybe twice (once in awhile really), I don’t really have any complaints yet, but this is nearly a brand new computer so. Maybe I will eventually invest in better RAM and, instead put two sticks of 16GB Kingston or Corsair RAM in there to make this build a little bit more reliable. I don’t think upgrading to Windows 11 will help but, I may have to do that since Microsoft dropped support for 10 last October.
If you are experiencing this problem at all please leave a comment down below, I will eventually post the specifications of this build so everyone can understand what I’m dealing with, but yeah I just built this computer about 2 years ago, and you can still buy the motherboard for it online for about the same price I paid for it. All the parts in it are pretty new except for the power supply which I got off eBaY specifically for another build then I used it in this build.
Oh, and above is the message I get, almost the exact same message. It will always say (for SEO purposes):
“Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We’re just collecting some error info, and then we’ll restart for you.

And for a computer that costed me well over $1000 (probably around $1400), this is really lame. So, I have just been dealing with it ever since I first saw the message. In total, it’s probably happened about 10 or more times in the past year. Once I have a job again, I will be making a couple investments and for the time being I’ll be cleaning the dust out and maybe some better cable management inside the case to improve case airflow.
