So, after writing the article last night on if “Does An Aftermarket Lightning USB Cable From China Work With The iPhone?” I noticed there was an update for my iPhone, to version 14.5 I think?, I was thinking “Sure!” and I clicked on the “Download and Install” in iTunes for Windows and along the way during the loading times I get this message:
The iPhone “bla bla bla” could not be updated. An unknown error has occurred (4000).
I figured it could of been the aftermarket cable I was using with the iPhone. But since I was too lazy to get out my original cable to try updating my iPhone, I had a different solution in mind.
I simply went into Software Update on my iPhone in Settings, General, and installed the update this way. It’s a no brainer, you just gotta make sure you got enough battery life, or simply connect your iPhone to the USB thingy and your set. I guess anyone could have figured this out. But it was worth my time to write an article about it. Hope you enjoyed it.
