“The code execution cannot proceed because SCommon.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.”

This is a problem with SamsungDeX.exe, and is a System Error. I encountered the error with one of my client’s HP computers.

So, I googled it and found a solution…, as those files are a part of the Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable, they need to be reinstalled. And there is a bug in the Redistributables between 2017 and also 2015 so follow the following steps please.

• Open the old Control Panel, and navigate to Programs and Features.
• If you see the 2015 or 2017 versions of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables are installed on your computer, uninstall them.
• From here in the link below, download and install the newest versions of the 2015 and 2017 versions of the C++ Redistributable.
