One of my favorite professional bloggers that makes a living from WordPress full time, once told me that this is a very important thing to remember about WordPress and your business. First off, not all updates are actually going to fix the existing problems with WordPress. There is a very small percentage of updates for WordPress that could actually cause damage to your WordPress site.
Many times I’ve been forced to stop using any given plugin because it’s causing problems in WordPress itself. I would rename the plugin to something I could remember then delete it later on. Then the problem would be fixed. So my honest advice to anyone who is living off of a website that runs WordPress is… wait about two weeks before installing updates, just incase there is a problem with the update.
Try to keep your plugins to a minimum as too many plugins can slow down your site. There are so many suggestions I could give to anyone using a WordPress site but I cannot cover everything in one post. If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.
