This is a really important question to ask when you go to a place like Staples or look online at a place like Newegg.ca, what lasts longer?, an Inkjet printer or a Laser printer?. Well, from my experience, it really depends on how much you use it but at the same time, Toner cartridges can print a significantly higher amount of page yield than ink cartridges, so toners last longer than ink cartridges. Most of the ink cartridges contain an ink volume that can usually print between 135 to 1000 pages. Then Toner cartridge page yields can range from 2,000 upwards of 10,000.

There is a lot more to know on which is better, so I am including a link here for you guys to do some more research. The next step on choosing an Inkjet or a Laser is considering the price of each printer. A Inkjet printer usually ranges from $50 to $100 depending on the model and it’s features. A Laser printer usually goes from $150 to $500 and that also depends on it’s features.
My own person Laser printer costed me $109 with free shipping, and it does Black and White with Color, though it does not have a scanner. Makes sense to why Newegg was trying to get rid of them at the time. I honestly would never spend over $300 on a printer (unless I had a business requiring high volumes of printouts, which I don’t).
But for me, a laser was a great choice. Right now mine is gathering dust, as you can see above. It’s a Lexmark, and has never failed me. So is this what I recommend?, definitely. They are a bit bulky, but do the job.
