Here’s the famous Powerbeats Wireless Headphones that I love and have kept since I bought the pair in 2021. Mine are a bit more dirty than the pair you see below, but you get what I mean right?. I got mine on Clearance for around $168 CAD. They really have never failed me, except of course when the batteries get low, I keep the batteries charged pretty well before every time I use these headphones. For the price, I would say they’re definitely worth it, but let me tell you, sometimes they do give off this weird fuzzy feedback in the sound playback if you know what I mean, depending if your near something that’s throwing them off. It’s hard to explain but I think the Bluetooth signal isn’t always as strong as you’d like it to be and the audio skips in a way, even though there are no moving parts in these electronics, it happens, especially if your running down the street. If you would like to buy a pair of Powerbeats check out Amazon.ca (affiliate link, we may earn a commission from what ever you may buy).
I think Bluetooth has a long way to go, and these headphones are a step in the right direction. The best feature I would say is the ability to see how much battery life the headphones themselves has within your Settings menu on your iPhone.
- The white LED indicator light on the left earphone of the Powerbeats means that the earbuds have up to 15 hours of audio playback left.
- A Red LED means less than an hour is left.
- A blinking Red LED means it needs to be charged.
- The charging case has an LED on the front of the charging case that will turn red when the battery is less than 40% charged.
- You can also check the battery life on a Mac by going to the top right hand corner of your Mac screen and then click on Powerbeats.
- Within iOS you can see how much battery life is left in your Settings of your iPhone.
- On Android you need to install the Beats app in order to see how much battery life is left.
Unfortunately I don’t have the Powerbeats Pro, and I don’t think they make anything cheaper than that any more, they might have been discontinued. You can view their store here and they don’t even sell the Powerbeats Pro headphones anymore. But, you can find them on Amazon either Renewed or maybe used. Ok, getting more into the features of these headphones, there is a sound it makes when you turn them off and a sound that plays when you turn them off.
To turn them on you just hold onto the power button obviously, and let go after 4 seconds, and to turn them off you do the same thing again. Charging is done through a Lightning USB cable, which I am not sure if the newer ones are USB-C yet?, but since I didn’t see the headphones on the Powerbeats store who knows. These are the best headphones to use if you like to run or jog down the street etc. and don’t want your headphones to fall out if you know what I mean. The only things that fell out was the earbuds. If you plan on keeping your headphones until they die completely, I would recommend using super glue to keep the earbuds stuck in there so they don’t fall out and you don’t lose them (they are super small).
