So, I decided to make the move to an iPhone 8 256GB coming from a Galaxy S9. First problem with doing that was detailed in this post… but that was resolved after talking to a Lucky Mobile representative over Live Chat on their website.
I looked through tutorials online but they didn’t really give me a straight answer on how to fix this problem. Basically I was getting messages from Android users (friends of mine), which were sent to my old Android phone and not the iPhone 8 256GB I just bought and inserted the SIM card into. So for a couple days I was almost giving up on what could be causing the problem.
Well, tonight, I looked it up and found this video on Youtube, just by searching for “not receiving messages from Android users on iPhone”. The solution is simple, you will see above that I turned off iMessage. As soon as I did this, I started receiving messages from my Android friends. Problem solved!. It makes sense too. Somehow, with iMessage enabled, it blocks messages from Android users. This should not be a problem, but it is. Apple has to fix it. Until then, here is the only solution.
