So, here we are again with the Lexmark printer I bought 3 years ago and continue to use. To this day, these Laser printers have not gotten any smaller and are still very bulky in size. What I guess what do you expect?. They’re designed for offices and theres supposed to be lots of room in these offices. Anyways, another problem happened after not using the printer for a few days. Basically it says “Sleep Mode” and I tried to print a couple pages but it would stay in “Sleep Mode”. Read what I did to fix this below….
First thing to try is to hit the “Sleep” button, well, it looks like a little moon. You know Sailor Moon?, yeah, that symbol. Well, that didn’t work this time and I figured doing a hard reset would fix the problem, it’s just a part of my troubleshooting procedure and it usually does the trick. So… I rebooted it by unplugging the power plug and plugging it back in, and guess what happened?. It actually loaded up and eventually said “Ready”, I was doing other things while it loaded but it said “ready” eventually.
So, there you go, that’s how you fix the Sleep Mode stuck problem, I suppose. If you go to this link you’ll see that this is what Lexmark recommends to do to fix this.
