So, to be honest, I did use other images from other blogs to write this article. But what I write in this article is unique to the interwebs. I am not paraphrasing anything. This is all me. I did buy the JBL QUANTUM 100 Gaming Headset which is compatible with all Sony Playstation’s starting at the PS3, and all Xbox’s from the Xbox 360. It simply plugs into your controller and you configure the sound from your consoles settings. On the PS4, I was able to route the sound through the headset so I can hear both the people talking and game sound, combined.
The most noticeable part of the headset is that, first of all, it’s a great brand that makes great sound products. Second of all, when you take it out of the box, this isn’t a great thing, but it’s just a bit difficult to get the plastic wrapping off the headset. But I’m not gonna keep this headset from getting a 4/5 for that. As soon as I put the headset on my ears, they felt so freaking comfortable. At the time that I was testing the headset I was talking to my friends in a private lobby. I told them it was like “laying in bed while playing games”, that’s how comfortable this headset is.
Other headsets you buy at Walmart or The Source are really hard on your head, they feel like your wearing some cheap headset that you’d buy from China for $5. Plus, they are comparable in price, to the ones you can buy at WM or TS for $50. This headset costed me $59.99 plus tax and came with free shipping so I cannot complain at all. It’s compatibility with all consoles is a huge plus. Now, the only thing I have to complain about this headset is, like most headsets, it’s made of plastic, which tends to break easily after about a year of using them (if you use them everyday). So be careful, and always have a backup plan (order a second headset incase these break).
If you can find a metal headset that doesnt break easily I will add it to this post. Just leave a comment below with a link to that. Thanks.
