This is by far, the weirdest thing I’ve ever come across. Here I am thinking ANY iPhone should work with any carrier in the world right?. The iPhone 8 is listed as a supported phone on the Lucky Mobile website. When I call their phone number (1 833-885-8259), I can never get through to someone to talk to.
First of all, the iPhone 8 I bought was from a Canadian eBaY seller, located in Canada. There’s no reason it shouldn’t work. But this is the message I got from them while trying to activate it on their website.
“Sorry, this phone is not compatible with the Lucky Mobile network. Would you like to shop for a new phone?”. No, I would not like a cheap piece of crap phone. I want THIS phone to work. What is going on?!.
And this is what the iPhone says at the top left of the screen. “Lucky” it says. I just think this whole BS is just my bad luck, why do you think?. Well, I am going to keep troubleshooting and I’ll update you guys at the top of the post when I either get it working, or get a new phone. Stay tuned.
Of course I have tried restarting my phone, and soon I will be using a different SIM card for the same carrier, OH, and I might try activating this phone on Virgin Mobile too, (I ordered a SIM card for them too). So…. sit tight… I will have this problem resolved in about a week… or two.
UPDATE: I contacted Lucky Support (through Live Chat on their website) and after verifying my account information the agent that was helping me, entered in the IMEI manually after I typed it in and sent it to him. After that I rebooted my phone right away and BOOM!, it worked. I made a test call and was able to call some random numbers. Texting works. Everything. Thanks Lucky Mobile. This problem is now resolved.
