I know the iPhone 16 Pro Max is out now but, I couldn’t afford one, so I got this one when an offer came up. That offer was through my carrier and happened just before the iPhone 16 came out. Though, I have heard that the iPhone 16 is not really a big update from the iPhone 15, so I remain happy with my 15 Pro Max. I would of liked some of the newest features of the 16 but I can definitely live without them. One thing I was super happy about is, that the minimum storage of the base model of the 15 Pro Max is 256GB’s!. no more is the 128GB models or less. I honestly wanted a 1TB model but for the time being this is the model I got: “iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB Natural Titanium” which is worth a good $2000 CAD after you get Apple Care it (which monthly payments for this warranty is optional thank god). I know these aren’t my own pictures but I don’t have a nice studio to take photos, and the iPhone model that these pictures are taken of are the same iPhone model that I have. So, awhile back I actually had outright bought an iPhone SE 256GB 3rd Gen which costed around $1000 after taxes and Apple Care, which I owned for a few months but later on had to sell it to pay off some bills. I shouldn’t need to do that in the future though, I think I’ll be alright. At some point I know I need to do a review on that iPhone as well, because I owned one for a bit there. Anyways, back to why I bought the SE, it was affordable, but very small. People asked me why I would own such a small smartphone. When I sold it, I only got $600 for it which is a very low amount of money for the $1000 that I originally paid for it. And yes, I sold it on eBaY which they usually take a 10% cut from what ever you sell off every auction you list.
So, my reason to get this iPhone was because the original SE I had was just way too small and had less features. The other reason was because this particular model of iPhone and all iPhone models going forward are going to be USB-C. So after I got this iPhone 15 Pro Max in the mail, I tested it with an Anker USB-C cord (which is one of the top brands in cords for electronics), and it worked just fine. I remember reading or hearing somewhere that Apple recommended to only use their chargers as third party ones might cause your iPhone to overheat in some cases. Now that is B.S. to me, and it’s been like three months of using this Anker cable I bought off Amazon. Anyways, aside from that, the battery life is pretty good on this iPhone, though it can drain quite quickly if your sitting in the lunch room browsing the web because your bored and using 5G internet (not Wi-Fi). This is usually the case with most 5G smartphones however.
I have a similar case to this one you see in the image above, and believe it or not, I got it for about $3 off eBaY, so I decided to buy two of them (one for when the first one gets too dirty). I am sure they will keep making cases for this iPhone for at least the next 10 years (hopefully). The truth is real, and you can get cases for iPhone’s for dirt cheap off of eBaY, rather than getting one from your local smartphone shop for $30-$60 each. The quality of these cases is pretty good too. If you really want a protective case for your iPhone too, getting an Otterbox might actually be worth it. Just beware that using those cases might make it harder to use the touch screen.
So, I don’t actually remember what came in the box other than the iPhone itself, and I heard somewhere that Apple is no longer including stickers with new Apple products, not sure why, and they may not have given a reason for that. Maybe it was for the same reason that they stopped including wall chargers for iPhones in the box too… who knows. The truth is now-a-days, that most people have wall chargers in their junk drawer, closet, backpack, and who cares if you have to buy a charger separately. You can even use a third party charger for your iPhone and will probably be better off. Anker makes some good chargers which you can get off Amazon for a good price as compared to the ones that Apple sells. The link above is actually an affiliate link which I may earn a commission from if you buy anything after clicking it. Be sure to check out this article on why you don’t need an Apple charger for your iPhone.
Since there is a huge picture of an Apple Care logo visible on an iPhone screen above, let me get into this topic more. I highly recommend buying Apple Care for your iPhone, even though some people don’t and have to pay the price for repairs down the road, stuff happens. For me, when I had the iPhone 5 (which I did buy brand new when it came out), it needed a freaking new power button just after a year of use. Apple Care covered this for me at the time because I had bought it. These days, costs for repairs are getting more and more expensive, you might as well just get the coverage while you can before your chance to get it expires and your crap out of luck when something stops working. Electronics break, and even a shattered screen is covered by Apple Care. Though I think you need to pay a small fee for that still, which is small as compared to paying for a repair outright with Apple’s own technicians.
Other stuff I forgot to mention…
Other reasons I got this iPhone is because that iOS is a lot more secure than Android. It still can be vulnerable to threats but… I only hear about viruses getting onto the Google Play Store and not the Apple App Store. Apple is probably the most secure mobile OS ever made in my own opinion. What sucks about iPhone’s is how everything is locked down, but that doesn’t really bother me since i basically own an Android smartphone as well which I think is the Samsung Galaxy a52 5G. I keep it on me when taking the bus across town, or use it as a security camera in my room with the app called Alfred.
The durability of an iPhone is actually pretty good, and Apple swears by it in some of their ads I’ve seen on TV and Youtube. Even a lowered priced iPhone SE has water resistance where a super cheap Samsung Galaxy A14 most likely won’t be water resistant (but that’s basically a $100 phone for ya). One more thing you may notice about the iPhone models is that they last typically around 8 years before they are considered “out of date” and no longer support Apple’s latest updates (meaning you won’t be able to use the latest apps). I know someone who owns a freaking iPhone 11 Pro and still uses it to this day (of the published date of this article).
If this blog does ever take off I think (if I reach my earnings goal) I will probably buy a new iPhone at least every 1-2 years. For those who are living off a lower income, maybe upgrade only every 6-8 years, as these phones are designed to last about that long. If the battery ever goes just get it replaced by Apple at one of their authorized stores. Anyways, I also forgot to mention the look and feel of this iPhone… let me just say that the rounded edges and the fact that it’s made from Titanium is absolutely gorgeous. I mean yeah it is a bit bulky with that camera lens sticking out but, it’s actually worth having if you look at the picture quality and also the video capture quality of these phones. I really don’t care if the Google Pixel has a better camera or if any given Samsung Galaxy phone has a better camera, this thing is a huge competitor and even after a few years old, it will still be a huge competitor with those brands that I mentioned.
Probably the last I’ll mention about this iPhone is, the one thing that Samsung and Google can’t compete with is the function on iPhone’s that makes it more than just a smartphone, but also an iPod. You can buy music on the go and and download it to your internal storage, create playlists, etc. I know Android has music players on the Google Play Store, but they don’t let you actually buy music while on the go. You literally have to connect your phone to your computer and then load the songs onto your storage and then from there you disconnect it and play the music… I guess that’s better than nothing but I, personally, would rather just buy the music on iTunes and sync it with iTunes on my iPhone. That it pretty much, iPhones are for audiophiles. I love music and premium stuff like what Apple makes. I don’t like carrying more than one device, so this saves me some space in my pocket big time.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my review which is at of writing this around over 1300 words and I could probably make it even longer than that but I won’t, my fingers are getting very tired so, hope you guys enjoyed the read and hope you all share this article on social media with all your friends!.
