So, back in the day that I had actually bought a PS5 Slim (last year in January), I was thrilled that I had one and decided to connect it to the internet through Ethernet, without knowing a thing about the different types of Ethernet cables out there. I believe the cord I was using while getting the following error below, was CAT5E?. So, I knew from there I had to figure something out because this error kept coming up and I would all of the sudden disconnect from a game on GTA 5 for the PS5 (enhanced graphics).

So, I googled it, and found that CAT6 is the best option for PS5’s, that’s the best Ethernet Cable you can buy and you shouldn’t have any problems with it after plugging it into your modem. So, I ordered the 6-foot cable off Amazon (I think the brand was Cable Matters), and sure enough, after a few days of playing the game I actually noticed a lot less disconnects than before. A significant improvement in connection quality, and after wondering exactly how many different types of CAT Ethernet cables there are out there, I googled that too and found out that there is indeed, a CAT1, CAT2, CAT3, CAT4, CAT5, CAT6, CAT7 and CAT8 according to this website. If you are ever unsure about something, just Google search it.

If your still skeptical after reading this article, do yourself and search for it yourself, Google search “Best Ethernet cable for PS5”, and see what the results are, and what the hay, I will post the results below in a screenshot:
