This is definitely a huge problem and frustrating for those who own these HP printers. I used to own a little cheap HP Inkjet printer that had problems printing documents because I let the printer sit for too long or something, so I gave that one to my room mate, of course that was an $80 purchase so that was a huge loss unfortunately. If you own an HP Deskjet 2755 (this is my moms printer actually and she told me about it), there is a pretty easy fix for the problem I stated in the title of this article. Read more below.
The problem that was happening to my mom was that when she turned on the printer, it wouldn’t print after telling the computer to print a document, so she would have to turn it off and on again in order for it to print the document. You shouldn’t have to do that, it must be a glitch or a bug. So anyways, with the use of my advice to her on how to troubleshoot problems with computers, she Googled it and apparently there is a Firmware update for the printer itself which apparently fixes the problem!.
The firmware is for HP Deskjet 2700 series of all in one printers, which you can find the link for it here. When you get to that link, scroll down to the part where it says “Printer Firmware-Keeps your printer updated with latest fixes (1)”. Click on Download and it will download the software to your Downloads folder (unless you have changed that folder location). And make sure your printer is turned on and connected to your computer during the installation process, so that the software can install the firmware properly. Make sure to not disconnect anything while the firmware updates. After that, just follow the directions in the software wizard and you should be good to go!. Thanks to my own mother for providing a solution to this problem, and giving my blog here more content to write about!.
