This is a huge question and I already asked on the Toms Hardware Forum about it. So now it is time for me to explain to you guys what’s possible. First of all, most Prebuilt Gaming PC’s don’t come with an optical drive and also, most of them don’t come with Blu-ray. It’s just a new trend now and people think you don’t need that stuff. Because there is Netflix and Amazon Prime and much more, oh and don’t forget movies on demand through Google Play or Apple TV+, you don’t really need to use a Blu-ray player at all now a days. But, the reason your here is to find a Blu-Ray drive in a Desktop Gaming PC. So let’s do that.
As you can see above there isn’t very many options for Blu-Ray at all. So let’s take a look at Newegg.ca, and see what they have…
Well, it looks like they have some Gaming PC Cases with room for an optical drive to be installed. I actually already ordered an optical drive for my new desktop, this is the case that I ordered (below).
The optical drive will look like this… as you can see below.
And, once you plug both into each other, they work!. So, pretty much building your own PC may be your only option in this case to getting Blu-ray support. If you have any better ideas, or actual links to Gaming PC’s with Blu-ray support, please leave a comment down below.
