Paint Dot Net is a great tool and alternative to the original Paint that comes with Windows. I actually use it all the time myself. But it likes to update itself once in awhile, which is actually very annoying. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, they say. Well, here’s the error I got while trying to update the program, and it’s probably because I have an Anti-virus running in the background.
So, I could of just turned off my anti virus and told Paint.net to update itself, but instead I did this, I went to Settings in Paint.net and disabled “Automatically check for updates when Paint.NET starts”. That will fix your problem. And if you ever encounter a problem with Paint.NET, just update it and I am sure what ever update you get will fix what ever problem, and if not, go to their website and contact the owners to report any errors.
The actual first error I received from updating this software I wasn’t able to take a screenshot of because I closed the window too soon and didn’t think of taking a screenshot fast enough. I will try my best next time, hope this post helps someone, cheers!.
