I’ve honestly been there and done that when it comes to buying electronics from places like Wal-Mart and other stores, buying electronics that have optional warranties, where people who know nothing about warranties go with it because they think it will help them in the long run. Honestly, it depends on what kind of electronic device you are buying because there are the good brands out there and there are the horrible brands as well (which might fail on you sooner).
Recently, I wrote a review on the “iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB” which is something that does actually have issues over time, like the power button can go and if you don’t have that warranty your iPhone could cost you an arm and maybe a leg too to fix (financially). Same with big screen TV’s almost, it’s so easy to nick the screen or anything like that which usually happens during transportation to the home it’s going to or vice versa. It might pay off to actually need that warranty to protect what ever your buying, which you probably thought I would be against any kind of warranties… but actually I am both against and support them at the same time.
Do your research
If your not sure if what ever your buying needs a warranty or not, just Google search what ever your buying. It’s so simple to do and usually you can find your answer there. But if your not finding your answer still, please leave a comment down below. If you need an idea of what to search for on Google, just type in something like “Samsung A2345678 40″ TV need a warranty?” or type in “Do Samsung TV’s need an extended warranty?” ETC. And if you still don’t know how to look it up just find a tech savvy friend or family member to see if they will help you find a TV. For me, I just know right away if something will need a warranty or not… it’s self explanatory. Because I’ve been there and done that already I can easily tell if something needs a warranty.
Keep your receipt and packaging for your purchase
Documentation is extremely important for your purchase, in order to protect it in the future… so make sure you keep all the packaging, receipts etc in storage somewhere and don’t forget where you put it!. There are some things I just throw out right away because I know I won’t need it, but if your spending $250-$1000 or more I highly recommend you keep the packaging (cardboard and receipts etc).
Anyways, again, if you have any questions please drop me a line below in the comments and I’ll help as best as I can.
