These days, most smartphone brands skip CES in favor of unveilings at MWC, Sony, though, has capitalized on the event multiple times in the past and it seems that this year will be no different in any way. The Japanese brand will be holding a press conference on January 7th where it will mostly talk about some of it’s latest technology. The firm has not provided any specifics as of yet, though it’s mobile plans for 5G are set to be the major focus. After all, Sony is now hoping that this new technology will revitalize it’s smartphone business by mid-2020.
And also, speaking of it’s mobile unit, it’s newest mid-range and low-end smartphones are also expected to make an appearance. These devices, which first leaked way back in October, look set to be called the Xperia XA3, and Xperia XA3 Ultra, and also the Xperia L3.
Each and every smartphone will target a completely different price tier, though all through will begin to feature 18:9 displays, dual rear cameras, and also glass and aluminum builds, according to recent leaks. In addition to this, Android 9 Pie is also to be expected to be straight out of the box.
These three smartphones will all support 4G LTE, and should go on sale by mid-February at the latest. Though, eventually, they are set to be followed by the Xperia XZ4, and Xperia XZ4 Compact during late February at MWC 2018.
