If you can remember LG’s ill fated models of smartphones, you know that one camera grip thing and the other DAC add-on that never came to the US for the poorly made G5, well, the company didn’t learn from these lessons apparently. CNET is now reporting that it could be unveiling a phone with a second screen add-on at MWC next month.
According to someone close to this project, this attachment may potentially double the screen size, and it would then debut alongside many other LG phones at MWC. CNET does seem quite concerned that the attachment will not be foldable, though LG seems to be leaving that to Samsung.
As of this time, we are not sure if the phone in question will be dubbed the “G8” or something else, though we will find out soon enough. MWC starts out on February 25th this year, so we will have just over a month until this interesting accessory gets revealed at least. We give it good odds that more information will be leaked out before then of course.
