We’ve been looking for the latest LG G7 ThinQ‘s rumors lately, or for any leaks, or sketchy images and renders for some time now, which is absolutely our best and most reputable look at the iPhone yet. It all comes down to the courtesy of @evleaks, of course, who sent out a crisp and clear promo render which looks exactly like what you’d see in an official LG-sanctioned advertisement after it’s announcement.
This render provides a lot of info. It also offers up a great look at a thick metal frame, which is reminiscent of the LG G6. The subtle side bezels and curved display corners complete the whole understated look. It also does a great job of disguising what is an all but confirmed display notch at the top. With the choice of wallpaper which is dark at the top it makes the display nearly invisible, though it does simply crank up the brightness on the image and comes into view conveniently.
So if we all take it at face value, this is almost an official render which has been leaked, and we now have more information on the size of the notch that is relative to the phone and what’s in there. A quick glance shows a cluster of the typical sensor on the left, a front facing camera dead in the middle, and a small earpiece speaker to the right. THe width of the notch looks to be almost one third the width of the screen, which makes it larger than the Huawei P20 Pro though is not as wide (proportionately) as the iPhone X. People are sure to be quite heated about notches right now and that makes it that wide and is probably going to help too.
The LG G7 ThinQ will be announced on May 2nd, so we just have about two weeks to wait before seeing it being unveiled officially. This new render may help or hurt your feelings about the upcoming flagship so grab yourself a tissue if you need some.
